The universe,
within reach.

From a telescope at home to CERN. One curiosity, two directions.

01 / Looking outward

It starts
with looking up.

At home, a telescope makes the distant feel a little closer. A faint patch of light becomes something to return to, night after night. The photograph beside it holds another part of that curiosity: the person behind the instrument.

02 / Looking inward · CERN, 2019

A different way
into the universe.

At CERN’s Open Days in 2019, the scale changed. Around me were immense instruments built to study the smallest constituents of matter. At the telescope, I look outward. Here, the questions turn inward: what is everything made of?

03 / A moment of stillness

The dance,
held in bronze.

Outside, I stood beside the Nataraja sculpture. A figure in motion, held still inside a ring. Among these photographs, it becomes a quiet pause: another way of imagining change, rhythm and the world around us.

The sculpture was a gift from India to CERN, unveiled in 2004. Its place in this story is symbolic—a reflection alongside the science.

04 / Back to the light

Let the distance
become a journey.

The film returns to the sky. Clouds of light fill the frame, and music gives the journey its rhythm. Between the telescope and the laboratory, the same curiosity remains.
